| The Whatcom Tesseract is a competitive youth running club that strives to build interest in the sports of Cross Country and Track & Field. While almost every sport has a cohesive development process for young athletes, there is a dearth of opportunities for young runners in comparison. The goal of the Whatcom Tesseract is to provide a similar opportunity in the sports of Track & Field and Cross Country as other sports. For every youth, the club aims to cultivate an appreciation of how teamwork, goal setting, sportsmanship, self discipline, and work ethic lead not only to success in sports, but also translate to all aspects of life. Whatcom Tesseract also seeks to provide a place for some athletes to learn about the benefits of competing at the highest levels of sport. Opportunities to compete in regional and national championships and even beyond will be available to those who qualify. As of January 2011, eight athletes have competed in national championship competition earning All American honors six times. | Head Coach: Peter Oviatt Phone: 360-224-4247 Email: peter@whatcomtesseract.com Practice Times: Mon, Wed, Fri 5:00-6:30 pm Practice Site: Meet outside Civic Field Weekends: Competitions will be on weekends (see schedule).
